Mortgage for Bigge St Studio Paid Off

As of April 1, Liverpool–Fairfield Community Radio Limited has paid off the mortgage for the Bigge Street studios. Thanks to the contributions of members we have taken only five years to pay off the debt, which is half the expected time. This helps secure the long-term future of the station.

89.3 2GLF first broadcast from the former SES building at 19 Christie Street, Liverpool. The station moved to the heritage listed School of Arts Building in Macquarie Street from October 1997 until January 2012. Following uncertainty about a more permanent home and the ‘Save Our Station’ campaign, contracts were exchanged and the Bigge Street, Liverpool location was purchased.

Not only is this great news for the station, we are also featured in articles this week in the Liverpool Leader and Liverpool Champion.
