The Liverpool Council Garden Competition is back and bigger than ever with 9 categories, giving all gardens, big or small, a chance to win.
Nominations are open now for the following categories:
Best Large Garden – Gardens over 200 square metres and under 1000 square metres
Best Small Garden – Gardens under 200 square metres
Best Courtyard/Balcony Garden – A showcase of the best pot gardens, terraces, balconies focusing on innovative use of space and sustainability
Best Edible Garden – Garden largely consisting of edible items or a significant portion of the garden as edible
Best Native & Habitat-friendly Garden – Must consist of a significant portion of Australian native plants, also providing natural habitats and sustenance for native animals
Best School Garden – Can include pre-schools, child care centres, primary and high schools largely resulting from the work of students
Best Non-Residential Garden – Covering gardens of any size on commercial land such as retail centres, hospitals, sporting facilities, businesses or nursing homes
Best Community Garden – Focused on gardens with a high level of community participation
Best Rural Garden – Gardens over 1000sqm, can include the entire property or a portion of the garden
Entries open Monday 29th August and close Friday 30th September, 2022.
