Two new bus services will launch within a year linking new housing developments in Edmondson Park and Elizabeth Hills.
Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklian announced $90 million program that expands bus services across Sydney and Regional NSW.
The new 869 service will run from Liverpool to Ingleburn through Edmondson Park and the 824 will run from Elizabeth Hills to Liverpool.
The exact route, start date and service frequency is yet to be confirmed.
“When we develop the Growth Bus Program allocation for each year, we look at a number of criteria, including customer feedback, current and forecast demand and our short and long term transport planning priorities,” Ms Berejiklian said.
“Creating new bus routes is also vital, as we are recognising our customer’s changing needs as they travel not only to and from the CBD, but also other parts of Sydney and our regional hubs.”
Sixty five buses are being allocated to Western Sydney with 16 buses replacing older buses and 45 additional ‘growth’ buses for new services.
