With the COVID-19 rules now in place across Greater Sydney, we have some changes in effect for our studio operations to reduce the risk to our volunteers and the community.
We have been here before and we know if we reduce the risk now, we will be in a much better position to return back to the new normal in the weeks and months ahead.
Our broadcast and digital services will continue to operate as per normal. Program makers will continue to have the option to Broadcast from Home.
The studio complex remains operational at this stage but with some changes in line with the new restrictions that are now in place.
Mandatory Facemasks
– If you attend the studio complex, Facemasks are now mandatory unless you have a valid exemption under the Public Health Order.
– The rule does not apply if you are “working alone in an office (until another person enters)”.
Studio complex access
– Access to the studio complex is limited to essential operational and on-air volunteers only.
– You will need to use the telephone facility for any external guests.
– We are allowed to have 2 people in Studio 1, 2 people in Studio 2, 1 person in Studio 3 and 2 people in the breakout room
– We ask you to limit your time at the station before and after your program. Follow the government advice in regards to social distancing.
– You should consider your individual circumstances if you are in a high-risk category if you need to attend.
– No one is allowed on-site if they are unwell or under self-isolation. If you are in doubt do not come to the studio.
A few reminders on our standard COVID-19 processes that you should always apply when visiting the studio complex:
Check-in:
– You must check-in with the QR code when visiting our studio complex, in addition to using the sign-in book to record your attendance.
Cleaning
– Clean the studio before and after use with a particular focus on high touch surfaces (e.g. buttons, switches, etc.)
– Wash hands before and after a show. The building has adequate soap and water which is provided in the toilets.
– We recommend presenters provide their own windsock for the microphones. You will need to clean it between shifts.
– Ensure you keep an adequate distance between yourself and the microphone
– Use your own headsets and keep them clean between shifts
Attendance
– As per our usual process, if you are unable to present your program – you need to contact us to make alternative arrangements.
– You must self-report any known cases to the station that have been on the station premises since an outbreak to ensure we can notify us and we can take appropriate action.
