Liverpool Council have advised that there are changes to Bigge Street parking with clearways introduced.

The western side of Bigge Street is presently zones No Stopping between 6.30am to 9.30am and 3.30pm to 6pm Monday to Friday but motorists frequently park there when the No Stopping restrictions apply. Consequently, vehicles parked along this section of Bigge Street forces two lanes of traffic to merge into one, resulting in traffic backing up.

Although motorists are permitted to park their vehicles along this section of Bigge Street between 9.30am and 3.20pm Monday to Friday they frequently exceed the permitted time limit which has a dramatic impact on traffic.

Attempts by Council to address this problem through compliance has been unsuccessful an therefore Council has decided to extend the No Stopping restrictions in line with the applicable restrictions for Clearway zones.

Liverpool Council will also introduce No Stopping restrictions along the eastern side of Bigge Street, between Elizabeth Street and Moore Street between 6am and 10am Monday to Friday.
