In the lead up to the Holiday Season it is good to remember others that are less fortunate than us. Please consider organising a group or individual donation at this crucial time. Giuliano, the Adriano Celentano impersonator was born in Sardinia.

In his hometown Oristano he became well known for his sense of humour and his permanent joking mood.

At the age of 16 Giuliano started imitating Adriano Celentano.

Due to his outstanding talent of being able to not only personify but also imitate and parody the original artists it did not take long before he was spotted by an Italian artist agency that represented Giuliano and made him participate in various talent competitions. He also did shows on TV and broadcast. In Rome Giuliano made the first place in a star impersonator competition with his show in which he personified 28 characters in only 6 minutes. Again he did shows on RAIUNO.

At the age of only 22 Giuliano already was an asked for comedian in Italy who charmed his audience with his natural wit and charisma as well as with his inspiring humour.

Only two years later he was already booked for cabaret shows with Ezio Greggio on CANALE 5. Giuliano is intensively working on new show concepts that represent his commitment, his diversity, spontaneity and even his spirit for the humorous. So it’s no surprise that he already does perfect imitations of more than 100 characters.

Just a few examples of his repertoire:

Adriano Celentano, the Pope, Zucchero, E. Ramazotti, L. Armstrong, Toto Cutugno, Maradona, D. Modugno, and many more.

At the age of 25 Giuliano came to Germany for the first time where he started a new career. He also gained further international experience in Miami Beach, New Jersey, Atlantic City, California and Canada where he did shows in Italian-American festivities.

In October 1995 Giuliano did a concert together with Toto Cutugno, Ricchi e Poveri, Riccardo Fogli, Pupo and Adriano Celentano’s daughter Rosalinda.

This is an evening of entertainment and part funds will be donated to a charity organisation Miracle Babies

Lifestart Kayak for Kids 2012

Lifestart Kayak for Kids is New South Wales’ own unique paddling event that attracts competitors and spectators from all over Sydney to benefit Lifestart’s early childhood intervention services for children with a disability or developmental delay. Set to take place on Sunday 25 March 2012, paddlers will face the challenge of paddling beautiful Sydney Harbour in a variety of paddle craft in an exciting 17.5km race from Blues Point to Clontarf.

The race has been run for the past four years and Kayak for Kids 2012 will once again expose participants to what kayak racing is all about with the inspiring backdrop of the harbour and bridge. Serious kayakers are welcome to participate in this one of a kind time trial as it hugs the northern shores in solo or double craft. And, for the novice kayaker, the course runs in four stages of approximately 4.5km for competitors to form relay teams of up to 12 people. The race will see paddlers extend their paddling accomplishments while promoting a friendly rivalry amongst participants in the quest to win the Corporate Challenge Cup.

Kayak for Kids is Lifestart’s major annual fundraising event and paddlers are asked to raise as much as they can in support of Lifestart’s specialist services for children with a disability. Former World Ironman champion, Guy Leech, is the event ambassador for the second year running and will be racing again in 2012. Guy was impressed by people’s willingness to get in the water and have a go… “Kayak for Kids is a unique paddling challenge on beautiful Sydney Harbour for everyone from beginner to serious kayaker. It is also a great opportunity for kayakers to raise money for kids with disability whilst paddling past the city’s icons including Luna Park, the Opera House and Fort Denison before heading into middle harbour and on to leafy Clontarf for the Lifestart family picnic. So get your family, friends and workmates together and come out for a fantastic day on the water.”

Lifestart Kayak for Kids is the perfect vehicle for family, friends and workmates to enjoy the harbour in a unique team building event while supporting Lifestart. There are a limited number of sponsorship opportunities available for the event giving businesses the benefit of positive promotion as supporters of children with a disability in our community.

Entries will open in November 2011 at www.kayakforkids.com.au and more information on the event in 2012 can be obtained by contacting Kirra McNamara on 0424 150 062 or email kirrilymcnamara@lifestart.org.au.
